World Map

This is an image of all the continents found on the planet Earth. The image has been flattened so it is easier to display. In reality, you will find these continents placed on the spherical shape of the planet. The blue areas indicate areas of liquid water. The white areas indicate areas of ice (solid water). The brown and green areas are locations of dry land and vegetation. This image is a representation of the planet during the start of its winter season in January. You will notice that the icy areas at the northern latitudes will shrink as the planet moves into summer.
